What battery operated devices are you giving or hoping to receive this Christmas?

Q. The word "devices" sounds so dirty, doesn't it? "Devices" includes toys, gizmos, kitchen utensils, electronics, tools and everything else that requires a power source other than a plug.

Almost everything these days requires batteries, especially toys for the kids. I just picked up about $75 in batteries, from AAA's to D's...should last about a month.

Can anybody name a movie with an ending similar to this?

Where the heroes, after fighting for their survival, finally think that they're going to survive, but then hit another roadblock and realize survival is impossible. Maybe they fight, maybe they accept that their fate is inevitable, either way.

Kind of like the ending of Toy Story 3, except they don't survive. I would like to know of any movies similar to this ending.
