Q. Today I read about the 3rd grader who's birthday cupcakes were confiscated by the school because mom had put little plastic toy soldiers on top, and, a totally different story about another elementary school grader who had his breakfast taken away by school officials because his pancake dad had put in his breakfast was shaped like a gun.
The cupcake school principal was quoted as saying it was disrespectful to the memory of Sandy Hook to have toy soldiers on the cupcakes, and, it violated the schools zero tollerance policy against guns. As if confiscating a 3rd graders birthday cupcakes isnt going to cause him any issues from that, huh?
How do you feel? Are these school principals and teachers doing a fantastic job protecting our kids or what?
My First question - when did the 'Gun Free Zone' legally become the 'Gun Image, Representation, Effigy, and Likeness Free Zone'? Did someone pass a law I missed?
Second - do you think the action of taking these things away, pancakes and cupcakes, is more traumatic than the guns they represent?
And last - are we at the point were sane gun owners need to have a conversation with out local mayors, city counsels, and school boards about this kind of behavior and how to put a stop to it........... or do we give these liberals a little bit more rope to hang themselves?
Are at the point
A. In Maryland, where the boy bit his Pop Tart into the shape of a gun and got in trouble, one of the Republican lawmakers has proposed a bill that would not only stop administrators from punishing students engaged in innocent play (like the kid who threw the imaginary grenade while he was pretending to save the world), but would also punish administrators who attempt to punish these children.

I figure that should be the law across the country.
EDIT: Oh, and Truman, I noticed that you blocked me. I would expect that out of someone who doesn't comprehend the difference between a conservative and a liberal, and who thinks that there were Colt 1911s made before 1900.
What movies are soon to come out?
Q. Like disney pixar movies or just pixar or just disney things like toy story monsters inc and can someone give me a link of all of them
and it does not have to be sure just rumered or stuff just say that it was rumered though thanks :)

Can you please C/C: “Napoleon, May I have this Dance?” (with picture!)?
Q. Can you please C/C: “Napoleon, May I have this Dance?” (with picture!)
BQ: Has the boy conquered or met his Waterloo - based on picture???
Napoleon got into the minivan
and pondered the conquest plans
Sat by himself in the fourth row of seats by the tailgate
Strategy, tactics, boldness to determine his fate
His driver Carole like him with skin fair
and reddish blondish hair
She was 36 years older – so they are not sister and brother
Clearly some category “other”
She asked, “Still sure you want to go?”
“We can skip this – lay low.”
He said, “The time of conquest is at hand.”
“Drive us to the battle land.”
They went on Ocean Drive
In ten minutes they would arrive
He looked at the dying embers of the sun
Quenched in the cool Pacific from another day on the run
Through Santa Barbara then to the hills
The upcoming battle sent him a chill
She said, “There is the matter of your ...um um size.”
He replied, “Yes, my stature is small – but I am planning a surprise.”
She opened the door for the conqueror short
He had for her a retort
“From me stay far.”
“This I do alone; perhaps stay here and look at the stars.”
Napoleon entered the room
Quickly surveyed; eyes went to zoom
Into his shirt he tucked his hand
and marched forward to the music of the band
Loudly banged his feet on the wooden planks
A reverberation was their thanks
Yes, he was very small
He entered a world quite tall
All eyes looked down upon the boy
Like he was not real – just a toy
For he was only in grade four
Some wanted to show him the door
There was no rule he could not be at the dance
Tonight he would take a chance
Everyone else was grades seven and eight
But if not now – when will he meet his fate?
First he would conquer Japan
Part of his global conquest plan
“Sakaguchi-san, let us dance,” said he as he bowed down low
She bowed back and he took her in tow
They had a nice dance –
they were put into a trance
Then it seemed like the girls did not care how high he did tower
There was another factor confidence and power
There was a line a mile long
To their dates the girls did say so long
He could spend only two minutes with each one
That night he had a lot of fun
His driver, his mother, a photo did shoot
A way to make memory moot
But look carefully at Napoleon – he is maybe not so cool
Perhaps this night he met his Waterloo
Perhaps he was overhugged
Bordering on being mugged
The lesson he learned if girls you want to dance with and meet
It pays to be adorable, cute, and sweet

Bonus Question: What does BQ mean??
A. Soc the #1 Chemist
First of you your young pic "Hurry up, I gotta pee" :>> nice looking young sap..jk...you are smart manly man.
I never figured this out...on the top with your question, what does BQ mean? Thanks

This is a very endearing poem Soc. I have told you before, and to me
your best quality is your story-telling ability and an interesting poem
considering we are not dealing 'yet' with international espionage !
You do a good job with your rhyme skills, and pull off good near rhymes
as well.
Had a thought on S7, L4, perhaps would work
with just "and marched to the music of the band"
You have two words basically saying the same thing,
could probably delete 'forward' - though, I do realize
in this hazardos occupation there are sideways and
backwards but only one frog-march.
Napoleon entered the room
Quickly surveyed; eyes went to zoom
Into his shirt he tucked his hand
and marched forward to the music of the band
(S7 by Soc Chem)
The weakness I see is the flow of the poem >>> the longer sentences
can be reigned in to create a better flowing poem, and still maintain
your story type talents >>>> of course, I know you by now and you
are going to leave it just as is. I guess it is good to be confident in
ones work, and you have to discern any c.c. you get, but I hope you
at least consider some of what I say. The other thing is anything
over 10 stanzas I think you might lose your audience. I read it all
and liked it, but I do think you could contain to story to within 10
for the big men.
Good story-good poem, well conceived and delivered with enthusiasm.
yf
Congrats
