I want to get him a toy box for future toys and he won't mind getting that instead of a toy. I just don't know whats the best for toys. I get confused everytime we go to the toy department. The problem we have is that he'll be 1 year old only a month later so its hard to get him 12 month toys for his first christmas and then older toys only a month later. At this point he usually likes the packaging more than whats in it.

Answer
For my son's first Christmas, we gave him diapers. =)

Don't worry so much about the ages listed on boxes. My son plays with just about anything that we help him find interesting. Even if the toy says "18 months" there will be plenty that he will find interesting. Really you only need to watch out for small parts he can swallow or moving parts that can pinch. Other than that, find something that you think fits his personality- animals, trucks, etc- and let him figure it out in his own time.

Also, books are always good. Even if they seem old, they always grow into them. Kids love pictures, plus you can feel like you're helping them learn.

OH- and if they make noise, make sure they have an OFF button. Rule number 1!!!

Right now, my 13 month old son is walking around with a diaper and an empty bowl. Kids love anything they can learn to manipulate. But now I think I'll go help him play with some real toys- my break is over. =)

How can i control these bad kids?

I have 4 kids and they are all bad. They run around in the stores, yell to the top of their lungs, dont listen, act like monkeys. Its so embrassing! I punish them by taking toys away, no tv etc. It doesnt work. I cant even work or go to school to succeed because noone wants to babysit them. Thats how bad they are any advice should i get a belt and start doing some spanking? Im so stressed out.Noone helps me with the kids. The father walked out.

Answer
Girl you need to get tough with these kids. Make sure that they know you're not playing. I would pull out the belt and continue taking thinks away at home and as for going out they should earn going to the store and stuff. Or at least make them think they are. You should also give them stuff to do around the house if they are old enough. You need help and they need to know that. You should also keep them busy all the time. It keeps their mind off of doing something bad. Get them games that they can play alone so that they don't fight. Look up small projects that can be fun and hey take them outside and run around with them. They'll get tired and give you a break.

Good luck!
I wish I lived near you. I would help them. I love taking care of bad kids. It's such a challenge but it's better then sitting bored with good kids lol. I worked at the YMCA with special needs kids. I'd always take the bad kids and I loved it.
