I am a kid/teenager and I need money! I am not just saying I need money because I want a toy or to get a phone or anything like that. I actually need money because I am growing and my clothes are getting small! My parents blew all of their money on a car and now they have no money to buy me clothes. But even if they did have money I don't like asking my parents for money because I feel mean doing it. Can anyone give me ways kids can get money? And something else BESIDES the usual like babysitting, dog walking, yard sales, lemonade sales and stuff like that. My parents will not let me do any of them so is there any other way? And also if you say something like selling stuff please be specific on what stuff to sell and where to sell it at. Please no lecture answers because I need money but my parents don't have money and my parents are over-protective so they wont let me do certain things. Please help! If you don't like this question don't answer it.

Answer
You said they're over protective and I'm not sure exactly how old you are but my first thought would be try and get a job. If you're that desperate which I was as a teen too, don't count out places like McDonalds and other places people stereotype as bad places to work. You can always get a job and work there while you still look for a new one if you don't like it. :) Also, if you try to get a job apply EVERYWHERE! Even little individually owned stores that no one goes into often, you may be surprised at who needs the most help. If you don't want to try this my net suggestion would be to try to sell something. Do you have a talent or a skill? You could give music lessons if you're musical, sell art if you're artistic (try Etsy.com if you do this), put an add out in the paper to fix people's computers if you're good with that type of thing. These are just suggestions but if you have something you're good at that you enjoy, put that to use and you'll make money and enjoy it at the same time. my next suggestion would be to try and volunteer, a lot of places will start paying you after you've volunteered regularly for a while. I know you need the money, but the economy is so difficult right now and business are hiring a lot more college kids who are over 18 or have a car because usually tthey need it more. A lot of people between 15-17 get overlooked a lot. Another thing is that when you apply, if you can fill out a paper application AND an online application if available. When you are home, call the business the day or the day after you apply and say "Hi, my name is ______. I just filled out an application and was wondering if you were hiring anytime soon?". If they say no or yes, PERSIST! But don't call more than once every 3 days or so, that's annoying. Also, some places may say "Now we're not hiring but the branch in the next town over is, would you be interested in working there?" If you have the transportation always say yes! :) That's all I can think of right now. Good luck! I know exactly what you're going through! Think about how hard it is for Adults to even get a job nowadays.

How would you decorate a unisex kids' bathroom?

Right now we have a baby girl but we know we want at least one more child that could be a boy or girl. The cabinets are espresso, the counter and floor are white marble, and the shower has white subway tile. The hardware is brushed nickle and we want to keep the walls white or really light.
P.S. no green please

Answer
Pick a neutral theme. Not a current cartoon character as they can be to camp and who know what will be cool in 3 or 4 years. Bathrooms for kids should be fun and kid friendly. Gives them something to look at during the dreaded potty training chronicles.

Reachable items are important.
Add a shelf for kid books.
A cubby for bath toys.
A low mirror and a stool that they can sit or climb on.
If finances allow put in a kid height sink.
Decorative wall vinyls are easily removable if you choose to alter the colors.
Bold colors are a plus.

I suggest a plain white or beige. Then add colors in the bath set, towels and rug. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3020/2563732291_aa24737d62.jpg?v=0 http://cdn.24.com/files/Cms/General/d/420/a4654f46fcfa41d5bba9a59357de6b4f.jpg

Personally I would run with a dolphin theme http://www.plumbingsupply.com/images/dolphin-bathroom-faucet-f50-1918bn.jpg https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9t9zr1zgCA0ZOfRsH4KXEf1zuFwGiGlWZaaxYfvkVmnj3VIZ-tpelu46wS0rnpJhWYUWuSxeYv908TYuS-ie94VwJtBwsVYdCj_kUYKoTJNyPR8mxAkpt7ewEmmkdiyUOGq4syDwx-lZH/s400/8.jpg
Add these in silver http://www.etsy.com/listing/59823866/underwater-sea-life-with-scuba-diver
Then add some bright oranges and yellows in the towels and rugs.
