kids meal toy ban question?

~Holly~ th

is taking the toy out of the kids meals really going to stop parents for buying them for their kids?

I really don't understand how this is going to help the child obesity problem.

Answer
I totally agree.

I'm watching "The Talk" and just heard them talking about this.

I wrote on Twitter to them - Happy Meals are very rare treat for our kids Money is tight fast food is rare I grew up with the Happy Meal I hate to see it go

What will be next? No more crayons at restaurants? No more fun place mats? No more playgrounds at fast food places?

I think this is wrong. But I also think it is sad some parents take their kids daily to fast food places or reg. dining restaurants. Kids need a good healthy home cooked meal.

We have a family of 5. Money is tight and it can cost us anywhere from $25-40 just at a fast food place like McDonalds! No way we can afford it daily.

We got it for Halloween but the last time before that was around Aug.

I feel it is up to parents to teach their kids to eat healthy not the government.

Next thing you know they will be taken away desserts saying it is a prize and encourages kids to eat sugar.

Since most kids spend more time playing with the toy than eating the happy meal, did?

Conservati

it really accomplish anything when Santa Clara banned them from McDonald's? Why do libs try and cure the headache by cutting off the head?

Answer
It's the lib DNA.....stick their noses up everyone's a$$ so they can think and be your kids nanny. If my kids want a happy meal with a toy, I'll drive to the next town - Cupertino ( 5 minutes away ) to get it. As a parent, I'll decide what my kid eats and doesn't eat. To libs, the government makes better parents than the kids own parents.

I've always wondered why lib parents who need the government to make parental decisions for them, why did they have kids in the first place - if they can't even make decisions on their own kids as to what they eat or don't eat?

Ashley'-

I know happy meal does, but does mighty kids meal bring them- and if so are the toys different from the happy meals?

Answer
I would guess yes, considering that the toy was McDonald's original marketing ploy to get kids to get their parents to take them there. Now that people have wised up to how very unhealthy McDonald's is, they started with the "healthy" stuff (peeled apples in preservatives, implying that their food is healthy, i.e., chicken nuggets because what little meat is in them is white meat, etc.)

However, you could find out by going to the McDonald's site or even going to one of the businesses.

I just wonder how others people felt on the band on toys in kids meals.?

Answer
I Think its dumb,Because they say kids just want the toy and then eat the junk food.I doubt anyone eats fast food just for the toy i eat it on occasions.

Why do I periodically see commercials advertising kids meal toys, but the commercial shows young men (between 22 and 25 years old) using these toys. The one commerical that stands out was for a digital watch in Burger King meals. I can't remember what was on the watch, but nothing geared toward this age group.

Answer
They want to appeal to an inner child in all of us, and nothing says fun like a 5c plastic toy.

How much would a Taco Bell kids toy cost?

Taco Bell doesn't make "kids meal" toys anymore, so I was wondering how much they cost today since kids meal toys are high in demand among collectors. I have a Spyro the Dragon toy based off the release of the portable game, Spyro: Shadow Legacy and some Medabots toys (not figures).

Answer
If it's open, it's probably not worth anything.
