Wish your kids already knew?

kidsmom3

Does anyone else wish that their 8 and 9 year old kids already knew that the easter bunny and toothfairy didn't exist, maybe Santa too, it would save so much time, effort and money than having a closet full of toys that were only used for a couple of months, they could choose exactly what they want.

Answer
Your kids are at the age now, they will soon figure it out! As far as all those toys in the closet go, donate them to Goodwill or some less fortunate children. Let your children play a part in this as well.

Father of 2, been there done that

Do you think 5 is too young for a Playstation system?

Moriah~ she is 2yrs
Tramayne (trey)- 5yrs
Jaleigha(jay Jay)-9 yrs

Answer
Hello,

Wow, that's great you want to get your kids some new stuff! I'm sure they'll be really excited.

This site has the best toys, and they're all organized by age, etc. I would take a look there.

Good Luck with the move!

Jessica

ps. In my opinion, 5 is probably too young for a playstation, just because there are so many other things that s/he could be doing. But, it's not for me to judge, and there are probably lots of 5 year olds who happily play with playstations.

I have three kids ages 5, 9, and 12. They have tons of toys and games. I know it's only June but am already thinking of some great presents that they would really love.

Answer
Books. I have three kids about the same ages as yours. They also have plenty of toys and games. What's great about a book is that it's compact, portable, inexpensive, doesn't require batteries and provides hours of entertainment on long car/plane trips :-)

How do i make my kids behave?

I have 4 kids ages 9,3,5,6. It seems I have to chase them screaming and yelling all day just so things don't get broke or kids getting hurt. They don't listen to anything they are literally climbing walls and hurting each other they wont even play with their toys much they just grab things they know they can't have and brake them

Answer
1ST OF ALL YOU ARE GREAt. i have 3 1/2 year old twins and its hard. god bless you. be firm, say no on things, dont give in on things they want to make them quiet. my kids are testing me so im trying now before they get bigger and its hard. reward them if they good. take things away, give them warnings that they wont get a snack or whatever treats they get if they dont listen. time out or send them to there room. if there certain hours that they act up, start giving them minor chores to pre occuppy their time. maybe if your kids start seeing one is getting reward for good behavior that other sibblings will follow. good luck, being a mother is the hardest job

How can I be the best baby sitter ever?

Q. Okay, so basically I'm baby sitting for these three little girls (age 9 and younger) and I feel like it could be a little awkward (this is my second time baby sitting but the first with these people) any tips on what I should do? What I should bring? Thanks in advance :)

Answer
I've never really "professionally" babsat, but I have 3 nieces that I keep on occasion, and for the most part, toys, videos, and food are your staples. Some kids are fine playing with toys on their own, sometimes they'll want to get you involved. Just let them decide. Videos (Dora and or Kai-lan for younger kids - stuff like Hannah Montana or iCarly for the older ones) are also a life saver.

And above all make sure they're well fed and such. The parents will likely tell you what to feed them, so just make sure it's on time.

Shouldn't be too hard, and a good primer if you ever chose to have kids of your own.

Biggest thing is the temper tantrums. If you encounter this: remember - YOU are the one in charge, but it's also your responsibility to be the mature one in the situation. That means that you DO NOT GET ANGRY with a child. You are stern, and you make sure that whatever needs to be done gets done, but make sure that you are always approaching it as a task that needs to be done, and not from a position of anger. IE, if it's bed time and they need to go to bed you are insistent that they do so, and you handle it maturely, but you don't go off the handle yelling at them.

What do u tell a child when he asks why doesn't Santa bring poor children toys and food?

bunny

When trying to teach children ages 5,7, and 9 charity during the holidays (giving toys to kids on an angel tree, donating canned goods at church etc) what do say when they ask "Why doesn't Santa give stuff to poor people?" They still believe in Santa of course.

Answer
mayby you could tell them that santa gives people with more money gifts to give to people with little money so people can learn to share! hope this helped! :)

Where is the best place to buy kids toys for christmas?

michelcree

I am buying for a varitey of ages (1, 2, 4, 5 and 9), and want to get good prices too. Suggestions on national chain stores with good selection and good prices would be appreciated. Thanks!

Answer
Online! I have a bunch on nieces and nephews plus my own toddler. There is nothing worse than a crowed toy department. I'm beating them all by purchasing all those toys online. Amazon actually gives you free shipping and handling if you spend enough. It's certainly something to consider.
