toddler toys are their favorites?

Sexy Ma

What is your toddler "boys" favorite toys and are worth the money?

Answer
My 2 1/2 year old is absolutely in love with Diego. (It has been a life saver in so many areas! We did his room entirely in Diego, and it actually helped him transition from his crib to the toddler bed with no problems. Anytime he doesn't want to go to bed we just get him excited about his Diego bed!)For Christmas we bought him the big rescue center and his grandpa got him a different one. We can now just buy him the extra animals that go with it when we want to get him a new toy. He gets so excited about these! He takes the animals with him every time we go somewhere that he might get bored, including restaurants. They make a little case specifically for them.

As for other toys that have been worth the money, he likes any form of toy car. He has everything from hotwheels to tonka trucks. I love watching him dig through his toy box and picking out all of the cars (no matter what size) so he can play with them together. He also loves animals (part of this stems from his love of Diego) and dinosaurs. We bought him the little packs of 50 animals and 50 dinosaurs for about $2.88 at walmart and these have been amazing! He can sit there and make each animal noise (again learned mostly from Diego) and he loves to make the dinosaurs roar.

The best toys to get for your son are whatever suits his personality. If he has a tv show that he loves, get toys that are related to that. For my son it not only ensures that he plays with them, but it also makes him get more into the educational shows. He's learning spanish, animal noises, and counting way before I thought he'd ever learn it. The only things that I really try not to waste my money on are toys like leapfrog and baby einstien. He's never really gotten that into them, as there is nothing in them that he can relate to. I've known several people who spent alot of money on these things for their kids to never touch them. I know they are supposed to be very educational, but so far my son has learned more from the toys that you would think of as mere novelty.

Good luck!

Does your toddler LOVE Barney the dinosaur??

crickiebel

Just curious who has a child/children who LOVE Barney. My 2 year old can't get enough of him. I'm wondering when he will grow out of it...for those who have been through the "barney" phase..when did your child start to loose interest? I am wondering how long this will last and how much of an investment I should make on toys, dvd's etc??? Thanks for all answers and help:)

Answer
I have a 4 yr old who STILL wares her Barney DVD's out. She knows all the songs. She plays his games online and whatnot. My 2 stepdaughters got out of Barney about the time they started elementary school. But my little one also loves Dora, Elmo, anything Disney. Dont spend too much money on on brand of toy. We did that with Shrek, and they kinda took a back seat. I never had a son, but if I did, he could watch Barney in the mornings, and baseball the rest of the day...lol.

Does your toddler have a favorite movie or tv show?

My daughter will be 2 on the 22nd of this month. About a month ago I bought the movie "We're Back: A Dinosaur's Story" and we watched it together as a family. Every day since she has wanted to watch it, sometimes two or three times a day (though I don't let her watch it that often in a day).

So do your children have a favorite? What age did it start at?

Answer
my daughter will be 2 next month and she LOVES Toy Story 3!!! She started watching it when it came out on dvd (probably several months ago now) and loves watchhing it ever since. She can point out Buzz and the potato heads and other characters she sees in stores and will repeat things they say in the movie. I personally thinks its a nice movie too :)

What is your 4year old asking for this Christmas?

My 4year old son told me that all he wants Santa to bring him is two toys, underwear, and dinosaur Chicken nuggets. I thought it was so cute and was wondering what other people's toddlers were asking for? Thank You!

Answer
That's cute. My four year old niece says she'll wants whatever Santa brings her. She doesn't have much specific in mind, though she did say that she should have the book Purpleicious since she got Pinkilicious for her birthday.

Why are atheists people so childish? Is it just me or are they a bit old to be believing in evolution fantasy?

i mean those whole fantasy with big bang and evolution... there so many logical fallacy in there, i mean if there is big bang then who create big bang, who create condition that allow big bang to emerge ???

also evolution.., cmon atheists, dont you agree that pink dinosaurs are for toddler ?

start praying already... and behave yourself... mm..okey ?
@MM
and your avatar ???
do you try to confuse me?

Answer
Lol.

The big bang just explains the observed expansion of the universe. It doesn't try to explain what caused that expansion, nor does it say there was nothing before hand. In the theory the singularity was there first. And might have being there "forever"* before starting to expand.

Why a who? Presuming a who and making up answers instead of just admitting "we don't know yet" is childish.

And what have pink toy dinosaurs got to do with evolution?

*As much as forever an means anything before time itself might have existed.

What does your two year old like to do with his toys?

Jenny

We just bought our two year old a wooden toy train track set on a train table. He likes to make crashes and then yells, "Pandemonium! Run away!!!" He also likes to get his dinosaurs in the mix.

Answer
your toddler sounds very advanced for his age. hes kind of acting like a elementary school boy haha. my daughters 20 months and usually plays with her toys as real as she can ex. food goes in the pot and car drives on the floor type thing. but maybe he just has a lot of imagination he could be the next big movie director.

How can I get two toddler boys to share toys and play better together?

I currently babysit for a friend who has a two year old boy who is very laid back and calm. My son on the other hand (20 months) is super active and a little crazy. They both play pretty well together however, I am constantly having to stop the figthting over toys as soon as one picks it up the other wants it. I know I can not fully break them of this, they after all are toddlers but what can I do to help?

Answer
There are some age appropriate toys that have multiple sets of things, which they can both play with at the same time. Or a project that they both contribute to assembling...something big enough that they can work on it without getting in each other's space. May I suggest Place & Trace by Discovery Toys...a set of three separate puzzles geared to their age. Give each boy one puzzle with its 4 pieces. They can complete the puzzle, use it to cut out Play Doh, or even cut out cookie dough and bake cookies in fun dinosaur shapes or transportation or house pet (each puzzle has a different theme). Often, an open-ended toy will be played with in different ways by different kids. That's what you need to look for.
