How does your 3 year old act with other children and how do you handle disciplining in public?

-How does your 2-3 year old act around other kids?
-Are they good sharers or grab toys a lot?
-Do they get loud or hyper or stay calm and play quietly?
-Do you notice they change around other children in any way?
-When do you interfere with toddler spats, and what do you do when you have to discipline your child around other children and parents?

My daughter was initially very shy around kids. She had a problem with sharing and getting along with them too because she is used to being alone. When I started her with preschool, she began to loosen up and got along with other kids. She has a constant playmate and she's really very hyper when she's around her. But with other kids, she gets really shy and tends to behave.

I don't usually interfere with their spats for as long as they are not hurting each other. But if my daughter misbehaves, I don't get angry at her when there's a lot of people around because it will embarrass her. I give out warnings and set limits in public but I usually do the disciplining when it's just the two of us.

How do I explain to my neighbors that any time my 3 yr old daughter plays outside, it's not an open invitation?

For them to let their 3 & 4 year olds to come over unsupervised and steel my kids toys? I've tried explaining to them the difference between keeping an eye on my good kid, and suddenly having two more little heathens to look after. The best I get from them is after their kids have been over for about a half hour, they'll yell over if it's ok.
I often have to let them know when their kids are are riding their big wheels down the road.
