When I was 14 I got this little police car toddler toy from my uncle, what makes it worst is that he left the $3 price tag on it. Worst gift ever by far!

19 month old putting objects in his mouth?
A.G.
I know its normal for young toddlers to still be putting things in their mouths, but is there anything I can do to get him to stop sooner? He still puts everything in his mouth from puzzle pieces to toy cars to blocks. He is still contantly supervised so he's never been able to choke on anything, but is there anything I can do to discourage the behavior?
Answer
My three year old still puts things in her mouth. Her sisters don't & never did. My 2 yr old don't neither does her three yr old twin. Im constantly taking things and telling her no. She don't get change to put in the piggy anymore shes had all her play jewelry taken away. Its just something I I have to be constant about with her I tell her only food goes in her mouth. Her sister is on an independent kick and tried 2 clean her own ears the other day and I wound up going to er because she shoved it in and her ear so far it was bleeding (she came just short of rupturing her drum) then two days later she got a knife out of the sink and tried to open a plastic bag (i was in the bathroom I donut let them unattended) I try to explain to her mommy still has to help w some things she seems 2 get it. Im just saying kids are all different some things they just never do my 2 yr old hasn't done any of that yet. Just keep re enforcing food only in you mouth if he still does after 2 take things away nd tell him not until you quite putting it in your mouth.
