When I was young and WW2 was a recent memory all our war games as kids were fighting as either Germans or Allied troops shooting one another with sticks and toy guns as kids do.

( We never pretended to be Japanese soldiers as they were considered to alien and despicable )

I am just wondering do kids still play "War" ?

if so who are the good guys and who are the baddies ?

Do kids remember Vietnam ? Do they shoot "terrorists"?

Answer
they play a video game called call of duty. the newest one in modern warfare 2 and in it you play as task force 101 and try to crash a terrorist organization. in the online mode, you and 11-17 others play in evenly numbered teams or free for all and kill each otherr. the game is played in a first person mode and consists of factions that are randomly assigned before each game. within the community friends can start clans and groups etc. the game is considered controversial because you play as a terrorist and shoot innocent people in an airport in one level. it is rated 17+ but most parent permit kids as young as 7 to play. i am 14 and play 2-10 hours a day and at least 15 hours every weekend. players level up from 1-70 and can do this over and over 10 times. compared to some 10 hours in one day is very little. outside of the video games it is a rare happening.

What website could i purchase a kimono outfit for a 1 year old?

Its going to be her b-day soon and she cant walk yet, but she has these walking toys and everything already. The first thing that came to mind was a dazzling dress, but then i thought of a kimono. Or anything else for a one year old, i dont really want to get into toys though because she has enough.

Answer
eBay is okay, but some of the stuff that gets called a kimono there is so inaccurate it's scary. You need to be really careful when looking for kimono on eBay. If you want a real kimono, try these places:

Ichiroya's children and babies section: http://www.ichiroya.com/item/list/006/

Yamatoku's kids' kimono: http://www.yamatoku.jp/classic/listing.asp?genre=12

Kimono Lily's kids' kimono: http://www.chuu.com/shop/list/00037/000

Ryu Japan's girls' kimono: http://www.net-shinei.co.jp/antique_ryujapan/item/list.php?Cate=410

Japanese Antiques' kids' section: http://www.japanese-antiques.jp/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=10&zenid=bddvqelmcgdf0jg2l5lhtq6s3n37u2g1

Bokunan-do has kimono for kids: http://www.shop-japan.co.jp/english-boku/kimono-kids.htm

Remember too that if you actually intend for her to wear it someday, she's also going to need a lot of different accessories (obi, obi age, obi jime, juban, and tabi; possibly also an obi makura and obi ita, but I'm not sure about those). It's highly unlikely that a one-year-old would wear the same kind of kimono as, say, a three-year-old or an even older child, since children's kimono are basically just small versions of what adults wear.
