best toddler walking toys image
Heather
I'm working with a 2 year old child for one of my classes that has mild cerebral palsy due to past abuse by his father. He can walk but his right side is stiff and he favors his left side. I need some ideas on what to do with him. A theme would be great. Thanks!
I will have a developmental interventionist with me. I just have to have a couple of lesson plans together when my professor observes me.

there should be a PT guiding you--
it is unsafe to make specific suggestions without professional guidance.
when I have worked with children like this--i would place toys on their right (weak side) and casually block teh left--place at different disatnces--on floor/hold up/ near far to encourage reaching
i also did a lot of song play- taht involved motions with arms/legs

Sims 3 - How to have a good relationship with my toddler?
Bunksy
In the Sims 3 my toddler has a very good relationship with his mother but a terrible one with his father. Anything the mother does with him gets their relationship up fast, but with the father it goes down if anything. What can I do to build a relationship between father and child? Chatting doesn't help =[
Answer
Hello,
I know how you feel that the mother somehow has a better relationship with the toddlers than the father...but here are some things to help get their relationship higher:
-Every time you can, when the toddler needs something have the father take care of it.
It will be good bonding time that usually hightens their relationship. If the father is unable to take care of their needs though then have the mother (or other teen and older sim) take care of it.
-Have him teach the toddler to walk and/or talk and/ or potty train the toddler.
-Always in spare time (when toddler isn't sleeping) snuggle, chat, tickle, toss in air, read a book to, play with(like playing with them while they are using the blocks game or the musical toy) any time you can or just when they need social interactions.
--Be patient.
With time their relationship will flourish, and I will admit it is somewhat difficult to grow a strong relationship with the child when they are in their toddler years, but as they grow and as long as you continually interact and bond with the child as much as you can, the relationship will grow very strong.
Hope this helps you!
