My 15 month old walks around the house and we have put safety locks on almost everything so he can't harm himself! We have an activity table (with music, etc) and a toolbench in the living room that he occassionally walks over to and plays with.
I would like to place a couple of more things around the house for him to play with. I'm looking for ideas on what I can do to make the house more interesting to him :) Eager to hear from other moms out there...

I am helping out in Vacation Bible School this week at my church. My class is 1 and 2 years old - I am asking how to make one of those walking ropes with the donuts for the kids to hold on to as they walk in line. I've seen these at day cares and I even saw it on an episode of "Jon and Kate plus 8". We have like 9 or ten of these little ankel biters so we are really needing something to keep them in line as we go to our different activities - I am hoping someone will respond to this asap because I would like to make one tonight so we'll have it ready for tomarrow - thanks =)

You could get a spool of ribbon and tie those little plastic chain link toys to it at certain intervals, and each child will have a link to hold onto. Ribbon is inexpensive, and the links are available at any store that sells children's toys.
Edit: Or, just get some ribbon, rope, string, etc. and tie loops in it 10 inches apart or so! Here's a picture of one to copy:
