I once went on a 21/2 hour plane ride with my husband and 18 month old. We didn't buy him his own seat to save money. That was mistake #1 lol....get her a seat to buckle her in. She doesn't have to sit there the whole time but it will help. Bring toys, books, snacks, drinks,etc...actually not sure if you can bring a drink but you know what I mean...and lolipops! Break out one thing at a time, not all at once so she has enough to entertain her the whole time. Try to get her a window seat. That might be entertaining to look out the window. :)

How to keep a toddler busy on an 18 hour plane ride?
Hmmm
we're flying from Turkey to Maryland and from Maryland to Denver. my daughter just turned 2 in June and like all 2 year old's, shes got A LOT of energy. what are some things i can do to keep her busy on the plane so she doesn't scream the entire way. we've talked about buying a portable DVD player so she can watch her shows, but that will only work for so long, what else can we do?
thanks for the ideas!

We used to have to fly from New York to Hong Kong and vice versa all the time when ours were toddlers. It certainly can be stressful.
Buying new toys is really helpful. Give your daughter the a new toy every few hours to keep her occupied. The toys don't have to be anything fancy or expensive, but toys she's never seen before are more likely to keep her busy than toys she's familiar with. The DVD player is also a good idea. You should also bring her favorite blankie so she can get comfortable and hopefully sleep for a while.
